ภาพอดีตแหลมตะลุมพุก  เคยเป็นสถานที่่ท่องเที่ยวอันขึ้นชื่ออำเภอปากพนัง  ก่อนเกิดวาตภัย พ.ศ.2505(ภาพโดยคุณสถาพร พฤกษะศรี)           

           จากเหตุการ์ณวาตภัยอันร้ายแรงเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2505 ได้คร่าชีวิตผู้คนและทรัพย์สินชาวอำเภอปากพนังไปมากมาย ในวาระวาตภัยครบปีที่ 48 ดังกล่าวกระผมได้นำเสนอเหตุการ์ณและมีครูตรึก พฤกษะศรี ซึ่งท่านเป็นครูที่สอนในอำเภอปากพนัง และได้บันทึกเหตูการ์ณด้วยภาพและคำกลอน ซึ่งได้นำเสนอไปแล้ว เพื่อรู้เหตุการ์ณวาตภัยอย่างต่อเนื่องกัน ผมจึงนำเสนอตอนที่ 2 ต่อไป

                 ในช่วงบริเวณกองกำกับถึงบริเวณตลาดแขก มีความสำคัญไม่ยิ่งหย่อนกว่าบริเวณอื่นๆ จะเริ่มด้วยภาพพระเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จเยี่ยมประชาชนชาว"เมืองคอน" เมื่อ พ.ศ.2502
