Up the pass with the old Land Rover Series II. It took about an hour more than usual to get here but the whole experience was more involved, I felt more present. The landscape moves slowly through the small windshield, it's so loud you can't really talk and you are exposed to the weather but I almost see them as benefits. Crazy to think that back in the 60's, all these things we see as quirky, were just normal.
I've always loved stormy, overcast weather. I'm not sure why, but it fills me with both energy and calm at the same time. Maybe it's nature's way of reminding us that we aren't always in control. We don't have to take every opportunity, we don't have to be in high gear at all times. That sometimes it's okay to just slow down, breathe deep, and watch the water fall.
Golden hour with @brookpower.
